What does “Caramelized Lightly” mean?

We take small amounts of sugar and fresh milk and we slowly caramelize them together before we culture our yogurt. It’s a similar step to making Dulce de Leche and no other yogurt is made this way. The caramelization gives our yogurt a delicious depth of flavor, subtle sweetness and a light creamy body unlike yogurts with high protein counts. The result may taste like a dessert, but it’s actually a great way to add high protein, probiotics, and lots of calcium to your daily diet.


Does it contain probiotics?

Definitely! A lot of them. We have over 1 billion probiotics per cup from 5 live active culture strains. Our yogurts contain the following strains: L. bulgaricus, S. thermophilus, L. casei, Bifidobacterium, L. acidophilus.


Where does the milk come from?

How does your sugar content compare to other flavored yogurts?

Tarte has about the same amount of sugar as your average flavored Greek yogurt, and about 30%-40% less sugar than indulgent-style yogurts.
